Lift Engineer

Based around the M62 Corridor – Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, York, Hull, Nottingham and Birmingham.

Basic Salary of up to £45k

We are working with an established European Lift Company who are seeking a highly motivated and technically adept Lift Engineer to join their growing UK team. This role focuses on installation, service and troubleshooting across a patch covering the North of England, supporting a range of lift systems for their clients.

This is a hands-on field-based role suited to engineers who thrive in fast-paced, independent environments and who are capable of resolving complex issues efficiently. The successful candidate will take pride in delivering a high level of service and technical expertise to ensure client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide installation, servicing, and troubleshooting for lift systems across a designated northern patch.
  • Work with the company owners to complete assigned jobs within 2/3 working days, ensuring minimal client disruption.
  • Prioritise safety, quality, and customer service in all aspects of engineering work.
  • Participate in occasional weekend work at 2.0 rates.
  • Maintain clear and concise records, feeding back job completion details to the wider team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • NVQ Level 3 qualified (essential).
  • Previous experience in the lift industry ideally in new installation, modernization or repair.
  • Someone who can quickly adapt and self-train to meet the technical demands of the role.
  • A candidate who is proactive, responsive, and solutions-focused, with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Salary & Benefits

  • Base Salary: £40k–£45k (dependent on experience).
  • Contracted Hours: 40hrs/week, with expected working hours of 40hrs (completion of jobs in 2/3 days).
