A small but well known industrial and automatic door maintenance specialist is currently looking to expand their geographical coverage, targeting an Engineer to cover Birmingham up to Leeds and surrounding areas.
The company covers automatic doors, industrial doors, gates, and barriers. For this particular position, strong industrial door knowledge is essential.
As a Door Engineer, you will be responsible for:
· Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide of industrial doors including roller shutters, sectional doors, speed doors, overhead doors, shop fronts, and occasionally loading bay equipment
· Occasionally servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automatic doors manufactured by companies such as Assa Abloy, Record, Geze, Dorma, Stanley, Tormax, Horton, Label, and more
· Occasionally servicing, maintaining, and repairing gates, barriers, and perimeter security equipment
· Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment
· Basic electrical wiring
· Adhering to industry standards such as DHF and ADSA EN 16005
· Planning daily works
· Quoting and ordering parts
· Providing technical support to other Engineers within the team
The successful door Engineer will have:
· Experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of industrial door systems
· Some exposure to automatic doors gates, barriers, and perimeter security equipment
· NVQ Level 2 industrial door diploma
· DHF Diploma
· A valid EN 16005 certificate, or at least have held one in the past
· A clean driving licence
· A CSCS Card
In return, you will receive an excellent remuneration package which includes:
· Starting hourly rate of up to £20 per hour
· £140 per weekend out of hours call out rota (+ £20 for every call-out attended, and a minimum of 3 hours always paid on OOH call-outs)
· Premium overtime rates (after 9 hours and Saturdays are 1.5x, after midnight and Sundays are 2x)
· 22 days holiday + bank holidays, rising to a maximum of 25
· Birthdays given as a day off, with no allowance used
