A small but well known, expanding industrial door maintenance specialist is currently looking to bolster its engineering department, and is targeting an additional industrial door Engineer to cover the South Region, with the bulk of the workload being in Hampshire.

The company install, maintain, and repair a wide range of door systems. It is estimated that 90% of the work will be covering industrial doors such as roller shutters, sectional doors, speed doors, loading bays, dock levellers, shelters, buffers, wheel guides, and traffic lights. A small proportion of their workload also covers automatic doors, gates, and barriers.

As an Industrial Door Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing loading bays, dock levellers, dock shelters, buffers, wheel guides, traffic light systems, sectional doors.
  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automatic doors manufactured by companies such as Assa Abloy, Record, Geze, Dorma, Stanley, Tormax, Horton, Label, and more.
  • Occasional maintenance of automatic gates and car park barriers.
  • Basic electrical wiring.
  • Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment.
  • Adhering to BS EN 16005 and DHF standards.

The successful Door Engineer will have:

  • Experience working on industrial doors
  • Experience working on either automatic doors, gates, or Barriers.
  • Relevant industry qualifications such as: DHF, EN 16005, NVQ Level 2 Industrial Door Maintenance.
  • A driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  • A CSCS Card.

In return, you will receive an excellent remuneration package which includes:

  • £15 - £20 P/H Depending on experience
  • Door to door pay
  • Significant annual bonus
  • 40 hour working week. Weekday out of hours work paid at 1.5 which includes travel. Sundays paid at 2.0
  • Company van with personal use at the discretion of your line manager
  • Callout standby fee £140 plus £20 per attended callout. Rota will be 1 week in every 4
